Researchers at The Kids have been working to change the story of RSV for more than 25 years. RSV is the leading cause of hospitalisation in young children. Our studies built the evidence that made Australia’s first RSV immunisation program possible, a program that has already protected tens of thousands of babies and cut hospitalisations by 90%.
For families like Ian’s, whose little boy Jimmy spent weeks in hospital, that research means fewer children will face the same struggle and more parents can take their babies home healthy.
