Overarching Evaluation of the National Support for Child and Youth Mental Health Program- Final ReportThe National Support for Child and Youth Mental Health Program (the Program) aims to improve mental health outcomes for children and young people, commencing with the early years and going through to adolescence, by providing targeted grants for workforce and education activities that will build capabilities aligned to the Program objectives.

Physical activity participation among children diagnosed with mental health disorders: A qualitative analysis of children’s and their guardian’s perspectivesChildren with mental health disorders have lower physical activity levels compared to their peers; however, minimal research has been conducted to date to understand their unique experiences of physical activity. We sought to better understand these experiences, along with contributing factors, through interviews with children with mental health disorders and their parents/guardians.

Promoting Mental Health in New Zealand: Building Resilience in Teenage ChildrenThere has been concerns about the increasing incidence of youth depression and anxiety, with school teachers seeking out ways to better equip youth with skills to help them deal with daily life. A resilience training programme for youth was implemented in one region of New Zealand.

The anticipatory response to stress and symptoms of depression and anxiety in early adulthoodWhilst cortisol reactivity has been associated with depression and anxiety disorders, research examining cortisol reactivity with early symptoms of these conditions in males and females is limited.

A Pilot Case-Control Study of the Social Media Activity Following Cluster and Non-Cluster Suicides in AustraliaSocial media may play a role in the "contagion" mechanism thought to underpin suicide clusters. Our pilot case-control study presented a novel methodological approach to examining whether Facebook activity following cluster and non-cluster suicides differed.

Neuroanatomical heterogeneity and homogeneity in individuals at clinical high risk for psychosisIndividuals at Clinical High Risk for Psychosis (CHR-P) demonstrate heterogeneity in clinical profiles and outcome features. However, the extent of neuroanatomical heterogeneity in the CHR-P state is largely undetermined.

Assessing alexithymia across negative and positive emotions: Psychometric properties of the Polish version of the Perth Alexithymia QuestionnaireThe Perth Alexithymia Questionnaire (PAQ) is a 24-item self-report measure of alexithymia. Originally developed in English, it was designed to try to enable more comprehensive (i.e., facet-level and valence-specific) alexithymia assessments. This study aimed to introduce and validate a Polish version of the PAQ. Our sample were 1,008 people (69.44% females, 30.06% males and 0.50% non-binary) aged 18-78 (M = 29.69, SD = 14.15) from the general community.
